Concentrate on Annie Duke

Mrs. Duke may not have captured her first WSOP Bracelet until ‘04 but she is one of the most powerful poker competitors around the ring games at The Bellagio in vegas. Annie’s long-overdue World Series of Poker bracelet came with success at the "buried game" of Omaha high-low.

While players from the "younger generation" of poker run crazy after a huge win at the tournament, Annie goes back home and becomes "mom" to her 4 children. Annie grew up in New Hampshire into a family of card competitors. If you do not accept that, observe her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who taught her how to wager on the game.

However, Mrs. Duke is no small-potatoes girl and has succeeded at her cut of demanding tables, including eliminating Howard along the way on several occasions. They are both competitors that have the skill to win the big $$$$$ and do so with a smile.

Annie Duke is a tough competitor at any table due to the fact that she is a real poker player, but it’s a bit more than simply being great at the game. Mrs. Duke is incredibly smart and graduated from Columbia U where she double majored in English and Psychology.

When you sit across from her at the poker table you know Annie Duke is there to play the game and she starts "summing" you up as soon as you sit down at the game table. If you can’t gamble like a Champion, then do not bother.

Winning over 3 million dollars in tournament play, Annie Duke became a consultant to both UltimateBet.com and actor Ben Affleck, who wanted to sharpen his skills and develop into a power at the poker table.

You may glimpse her at the Bellagio, you will see her on the tv and you might even compete against her in a web poker match, but do not count on an easy win. Except of course you’re a champion-in-the-making, you won’t defeat her. However, it’d be fun to mention you played at the at the table with "The Duke".
