Poker is a dominant game that has a following of millions and millions of aggressive players throughout the planet. The game is composed of players appraising their own hands prior to attempting to determine what cards the competing gamblers might have. The various versions of poker games are Hold’em, Seven Card Stud, Omaha Poker, the Hi/Lo adaptation, Five Card Stud, and Five Card Draw. The term, ‘deal’ references the act of allotting cards to players or keeping the cards on the boards. This term corresponds to the entire activity from mixing the cards to giving out the cards and until the money has been won, thereby ending that deal.
Other regular terms used in the game of poker include but not limited to discard, drawing dead, flop, Fourth Street, kicker, lock up, loose game, and muck.
